Mount Bental | 10.15

We also visited Caesarea Philippi. It is where Peter proclaimed that Jesus is the Messiah, and where Jesus said that “on this rock I will build my kingdom and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” Read more…

Chorazin and Katzrin | 10.15

We visited the ancient village of Chorazin, a talmudic village (perhaps 400 years after Jesus) and saw the way they lived, the synagogue in the center of the community - not just a place of worship but the community center as well. Read more…

After the Sea of Galilee we went to Capernaum, where Jesus lived during most of his ministry, and also the site of Peter’s home. Read more…

After Zippori we went to Kibbutz Ginosar on the Sea of Galilee. There is a fishing boat from the time of Jesus on display there, which was discovered in the mud of the sea several years ago. Read more…
