Galilee
After Zippori we went to Kibbutz Ginosar on the Sea of Galilee. There is a fishing boat from the time of Jesus on display there, which was discovered in the mud of the sea several years ago during a severe drought when the sea level dropped significantly. We also took a ride on a modern boat out on the Galilee. This is a very large body of water which can develop huge and life-threatening storms, which we read about in Scripture. Fortunately none of them came while we were out!
